Tinjauan Teologi Baptisan Pada Amanat Agung Yesus Kristus Di Matius 28:19-20 Sebagai Landasan Pengajaran doktrin Gereja

Abstract

Baptism is an important part of the commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ before He ascended to Heaven, but in the course of Christianity there has been a change in understanding and even in its implementation carried out by churches today. As a result of the difference or change in the meaning of baptism, baptism often becomes a debate and even becomes a subject of argument between one church and another and from one sect to another. From what happened, the debate that arose resulted in grouping and the result that God's church could not unite on this earth. The difference that occurs in the meaning and implementation of baptism is that baptism is done by immersion and baptism is done by sprinkling. Through writing this Journal, the Author wants to bring readers to understand the real and absolute meaning of baptism to be carried out with the understanding that it is the commandment of Jesus Christ to His disciples before He ascended to heaven and became the Great Commission that must be carried out by God's church without having to be debated because as believers we are taught to always obey God's Word by not changing what is written in the Bible, either by adding or subtracting the meaning of God's Word itself.
