PERAN GURU DALAM PEMBENTUKAN MENTAL DAN SPIRITUALITAS ANAK DI PAUD SHEKINAH GLORY SONDER
Abstract
Education is a means to empower the next generation of the nation. Education aims to bring children to have intelligence both cognitively, affectively, and psychomotorically. The community has high hopes for education in this nation because education will greatly affect children's development. Teachers are at the forefront to be able to guide students. It is very important to form a child's personality from an early age because early childhood is an age group that is easy to shape and easy to receive education. The problem that occurs is that many schools place more emphasis on cognitive or psychomotor knowledge and pay less attention to affective values. Affective values concern the child's mentality and spirituality. The teacher should be able to balance these educational goals. Developing knowledge and skills is important, but forming a child's mentality and spirituality must be a priority. This paper aims to determine the role of the teacher in forming the mentality and spirituality of children at the Shekinah Glory Sonder Early Childhood Education Center. The research method used is qualitative. As for data collection through Library Studies, Field research, and interviews.
